Make time to dress up your tea with a little Thai. Refreshing, creamy, and distinctively delicious, this Thai Iced Tea recipe is easy to make and even easier to drink.
Thai Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 6 Red Diamond individual tea bags
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 whole star anise
  • 1 tablespoon whole cardamom
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons evaporated milk

Directions

  1. Place tea bags, water, vanilla, star anise, cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric and sugar in a medium-sized pot and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes.
  2. Pour tea mixture through a fine mesh strainer and chill.
  3. Pour into two glasses filled with ice.
  4. Combine sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk. Pour over tea and stir.
