Give your steak a uniquely spicy-sweet flavor with a mouth-watering savory rub that combines brown sugar, paprika, pepper and the bold taste of Red Diamond® Coffee. Slice into thin strips to serve center-of-plate or atop a salad, pilaf or whatever you desire.
Coffee Rubbed Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. finely ground dark roast Red Diamond® coffee
  • 1 ½ tsp. dark brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp. smoked papricka
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • ½ tsp. dry mustard
  • ½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp. ground red pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped sage
  • 1 (2 lb.) top sirloin steak
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil

Directions

  1. Stir first 9 ingredients in a small bowl
  2. Rub garlic, sage and spice mixture on all sides of steak; drizzle with olive oil, and let stand for 1 hour
  3. Grill steak, covered with grill lid, over 350- to 400- degrees fire for 8 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness
  4. Let rest for 5 minutes, and then slice diagonally across the grain into thin strips
