The Fiery Joe

Hot
It’s not just hot, it’s spicy hot. Give your coffee a kick by accenting a cup of joe with ancho chile. Mix in a simple syrup made of brown sugar and cayenne, and then garnish with a dark chocolate square and dried chile skewer.
Chocolate Coffee

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. Red Diamond 100% Arabica coffee, brewed
  • 1 qt. brown sugar simple syrup, 1:1 ratio
  • 10 grams cayenne pepper
  • 1 dark chocolate square, for garnish
  • 1 dried chile, for garnish

Directions

  1. Mix cayenne with syrup
  2. Add 0.5 oz. of the simple syrup mixture to the hot coffee
  3. Garnish with the dark chocolate square skewered with the dried chile
