A summer slender straight from the garden- blending strawberries and basil with freshly brewed Red Diamond® Iced Tea.
Strawberry Basil Tea

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 family-sized Red Diamond® Iced Tea bags
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, and more for garnish, if desired
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, as a garnish

Directions

  1. Fill a glass measuring cup with 2 cups water and add the tea bags
  2. Microwave 3 minutes on high
  3. Add the sugar to hot tea until it is dissolved
  4. In a blender combine 2 cups water, lemon juice and strawberries
  5. Pulse mixture until well blended
  6. Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher of ice and combine with the hot tea mixture
  7. Garnish with basil leaves and extra strawberries if desired
