Ingredients
4 slices country ham or bacon
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
½ cup water
½ cup Red Diamond 100% Arabica Coffee, brewed strong
1 tablespoon beef bouillon
1 teaspoon brown sugar
4 to 6 fresh baked biscuits
Directions
Heat a sauté pan or cast-iron skillet over medium heat and cook ham/bacon 2 to 3 minutes per side.
Remove from skillet and reduce heat to low. Add butter and whisk in flour, cook till starting to brown.
Whisk in water, coffee, bouillon and brown sugar. Whisk until gravy is bubbly and thickened.
Split biscuits and layer with ham/bacon and gravy. Serve warm.
