Irish Coffee

A bit o’ the Irish. This traditional pub staple is made even richer and tastier when you use Red Diamond® Coffee.

Serves: 8


3 cups heavy or whipping cream

7 Tbsp. sugar, divided

1 cup Irish whiskey

6 cups brewed Red Diamond® Coffee

Grated nutmeg or ground cinnamon for, garnish


1In a large mixing bowl, beat cream and 3 Tbsp. sugar until very soft peaks form (consistency should be just pourable). Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve

2Heat 8 clear-glass mugs by pouring very hot water into them. Drain water; add 2 Tbsp. whiskey to each glass

3Stir remaining 4 Tbsp. sugar into coffee until dissolved. For each drink, fill glass with coffee to within 1 ¼ in from the top. Hold a large spoon upside down over the top of the mug; gradually pour whipped cream over the back of the spoon onto the coffee (cream should float on top, about 1-inch thick). Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon, if desired
