Simmer, then cool, and add to a combination of freshly brewed Red Diamond Tea® and freshly squeezed orange juice. The final result, a soothingly delicious tea with a relaxing scent and slightly bitter aftertaste.
Ingredients
Fennel Syrup
1 cupwater
1/2 cupgranulated sugar
1 cupfennel (sliced, trimmings)
Hot Orange-Fennel Tea
10 oz.Red Diamond Tea® (freshly brewed and hot)
1 oz.Fennel syrup (see recipe above)
1 tbspfreshly squeezed orange juice (about ¼ of a medium orange)
Fennel frond, for garnish
Directions
Fennel Syrup
1Combine all ingredients on a stovetop
2Simmer to reduce water by ¾
3Strain out fennel
4Cool, and reserve
Hot Orange-Fennel Tea
1Combine ingredients and enjoy!
