This Ahi Tuna Salad with Green Tea Dressing is sure to be a hit with your customers.
Ingredients
One 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, grated
½ cup toasted sesame seed oil
½ cup brewed Red Diamond green tea
2 Tbsp agave
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Tuna (for Ahi Tuna)
Sesame seeds, to garnish
Bunch of mixed greens
Small bunch of carrots, cut into matchsticks
Small bunch of radishes, cut on a mandolin
Directions
Prepare the dressing by putting together grated ginger, toasted sesame seed oil, green tea, agave, soy sauce and apple cider vinegar in a food processor.
Store the dressing in the fridge to cool.
Season the tuna with salt and pepper.
In a medium-high pan, drizzle olive oil. Add tuna to the pan and cook for around 1 to 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and add sesame seeds on top. Slice the tuna against the grain in ½ inch slices.
Toss mixed greens with salad dressing, carrot matchsticks, sliced radishes and almond slivers. Serve with tuna slices on top.
